Biography
Dr. Koch is an infectious disease physician and medical epidemiologist working in the Greenlandic Health System at the Department of Internal Medicine at Queen Ingrid’s Hospital in Nuuk, Greenland; at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Rigshospitalet University Hospital, and at the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology & Prevention, Statens Serum Institut, Copenhagen, Denmark. In Greenland, Dr. Koch is the nationally responsible physician for clinical management of Tuberculosis. Since the 1990s, he has undertaken infectious disease epidemiology research in Greenland, is an adjunct professor at Ilisimatusarfik (University of Greenland), and is Past President of the International Union for Circumpolar Health.
