Key Impacts

Association between geographic accessibility and use of the private sector among people with TB in Lima, Peru

Many people with TB seek care first in the private sector, possibly when private clinics are more conveniently located. However, this choice is not associated with significant delays in treatment. Public-private partnerships prioritizing private clinics serving communities far from public services could help further reduce time to treatment.
