Biography

Amrita is a medical doctor currently studying on the Masters in Tropical Health and Infectious Disease Research (MRes) with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. Her MRes has included a 6-month field research project based in Lima, Peru, with the Innovation for Health and Development team, led by Prof Carlton Evans.
She is working with RCP Global to lead the development of its first global doctors group, to improve global partnerships and networks especially for resident doctors. She is co-founder of Hot Topics in Global Health, a cross-speciality, global health conference which piloted in May 2024 in the UK.

In urban and peri-urban impoverished communities of Lima, Peru, PTB felt high community mistrust and insecurity. Policies addressing neighbourhood security and trust could improve community-based social capital to improve health outcomes.
