Biography

Dr Alvaro Schwalb is an infectious disease epidemiologist and mathematical modeller specialising in tuberculosis. He is a Research Fellow in the TB Modelling Group at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (London, UK), and a Research Associate at the Instituto de Medicina Tropical Alexander von Humboldt (Lima, Peru). He holds a medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, an MSc in Epidemiology from LSHTM, and a PhD in Epidemiology and Population Health, also from LSHTM.
