Key Impacts

Effect of community-based vs. clinic-based delivery of TB preventive therapy on completion of TB preventive therapy in South Africa: Outcomes from a randomised controlled trial (ThiPhiSA)

Community-based multi-month delivery of 3HP improved TPT completion for TPT-eligible persons in South Africa compared to requiring clinic visits for refills. Person-friendly approaches improving convenience should be adopted to decompress healthcare facilities and improve TPT coverage to meet TB prevention goals.
